Hi all,

My boat has a 240v socket on the rear deck area by the flybridge steps. The cover is a Panasonic, probably WEG 9703 or similar, which appear in places like Thailand and Korea etc...
The socket is gradually falling to bits, partly through age and partly through an unfortunate extension lead pulling incident and now I think it's composition is about 2/3rds superglue..

I'm not seeing (so far) these OEM original sockets within 1000 miles of me. What are you guys using for water resistant sockets? The Panasonic ones are flush with the bulkhead and in the recess area I want to keep with flush mounts, so no unsightly big surface mounted boxes..

Any thought are appreciated..

Do you have a photo? It's pretty hard to understand what you are describing. Is it the 230v input to the boat or a power socket to plug an appliance in?

Mains input to that means you have live pins of a plug in hand !!

The socket you show is designed to provide power OUT - not IN.

It also means that if you don't have the matching plug with Earth 'female' - that pin will stop the plug being inserted ...
Well what do you know! yeah it is to plug an appliance in not to take the power in to the boat on

The gentleman was asking about a socket in the original post and that is what I was showing an IP54 rated flush mount socket, not waterproof but splashproof

Any examples Alex ? White, flush, UK 3 pin socket ?
I, at first glance thought there were more  However a couple below. First one is silly price. Second could be used with a metal flush socket(s) Third is IP54. and not sure of the last one.
