Sorry to be negative, but If you recess the backbox, you can't open it.

That one was similar to mine except with a clear lens on the lid - for the outside the back box was discarded and Sea ray just used the front section with the lid and socket in position like this oneWhat about this
I like this one. I need a socket in the cockpit for a portable fridge, i could use one of these wired up to 12v. Do you have the Ebay link ?What about this

(Apologies to the OP for the thread drift)
The one he has isn't looks more like the fourth one I posted. 13 Amp Flush Mains Outlet W4 20039They need to be ip66
I can't quite see how that one works Alex. With the socket in the position shown in the picture you wouldn't be able to plug anything in. It look as though the socket isn't fixed in place. There's another picture of it here : https://www.groveproducts.co.uk/w4-flush-mains-outlet-oblongThe one he has isn't looks more like the fourth one I posted. 13 Amp Flush Mains Outlet W4 20039
Sorry Paul, you have lost me completely on that. I thought the link I gave was almost identical to the link the OP gave in #26. I see what you mean about the socket being loose but it does say that it can be secured with a self adhesive pad. I don't think that it is beyond the wit of man to be able to fix it with a couple of small screws.
All round doesn't look as though there is one easy solution, at best we are at least giving him some ideas.
Yes I've seen that, hence my original question (way back when Televisions were black n white) if anyone had bought anything similar this side of the world. They're also a bit on the flimsy side so a good time to upgrade a bit too..WEG 7901 is available in Thailand and the Philippines

You're in the same situation I found my self in a couple of years back.Yes I've seen that, hence my original question (way back when Televisions were black n white) if anyone had bought anything similar this side of the world. Difficult isn't it? You assume something as simple as a power socket would be sorted in about 5 minutes. But some of the parts come from all over the globe. You're in the same situation I found my self in a couple of years back.
the lid in the cockpit area had broken but also a socket in the galley (all the same make)
The socket I manage to locate in Italy and bought just a couple of the internal sockets.
and the enclosure lid I found local to me in Yorkshire.
all the Sockets on the boat where European and just wanted to sick to original.
