Yanmar 1 GM10 exhaust

Hello...could anyone advise me on the set up of the exhaust for the Yanmar 1GM10 i have just installed..especially...do I need to install a Vetus 'waterlock between the engine and the outlet.

Yes. Follow the instructions from Vetus. 30cm drop from the exhaudt to the waterlock then a loop or swan neck to the transom outlet. 45mm hose.
