Winter storage

Hi

The current weather (and last week spent dodging storms and rain clouds) have made me think that winter is not too far away. I have just (April) bought my first yacht which is moored in Haslar Marina, which has no haul-out and storage facility for the winter. I'd like to take her out as she has been afloat last winter and I want to let her dry out. Does anyone know of a good (read: cheap) place to haul out and store for the winter around the Solent somewhere?

gosport boatyard, just past camper's used to be good. i think campers themselves also do storage.

Ken Brown boats in the Camber Dock Portsmouth is small and intimate but very close to the delights of Gunwharf Quays shopping and night life.

Yup. Gosport boat yard. Great service from Chris Haddock the owner and cheap.

They will also pick your boat up from Haslar and return it for you.
