Re: to cheer up nicho

As a newbie to this forum I thought this thread would be a good chance for people to get to know me a bit better so I’ve decided to come out off the closet and share with you the sort of activities I get up to with my good (male) friend on his motor boat.

I usually get a text invite for an afternoon or evening trip and we set out to a nice quiet spot away from other river traffic. Once we’ve anchored up we set about preparing our tackle which we like to get out as quick as we can, indeed it is usually a race to see who gets theirs ready first. Before dipping our tackle we generally put something soft and slimy on the end and then it goes straight in. After a few minutes and all things being even, we hope to notice a quiver on the tip and, after the tip has quivered a couple of more times it’s time to whip it out and have a look to see what’s on the end. As is the custom, we always have a look at each other’s to see who’s got the biggest.

After a while of this we like to stop for a cuppa and a bacon roll or two and then up anchor and find somewhere else to do it all over again.

It’s always a thrill to see what’s on the end and a couple of time’s we’ve had some weighing more than a few pounds. Sometimes we take some home but usually we stick them straight back in from where they came.

I trust this takes some of the mystery out of what grown men get up to on motor boats and I hope you enjoy reading about it before it gets pulled and I get banned from the forum.

Colin, you may be a newbie, but you've immediately entered into the spirit of the forum. Bacon sarnies and a cuppa eh! Don't either of you roll over and go to sleep after lighting up a fag ? (oops, sorry, slip of the tonngue there - oops and another one - better stop before the headmaster does his rounds.

Back on the 24th Sept. 2002...

...Steve 101 (remember him? He got banned!!) said that this would top the 200...

Still got quite a way to go! I reckon the Steve101 original troll was a better bet for the quick double century! If England had an opening batsman like that...

Glad you liked it :)

Something I saw the other day makes me question the original post though. Just the other day I saw a guy on a yacht coming up the river and he definately had a tender behind!!!

Most welcome. I was going to resurrect it on its birthday but maybe we could keep it going through to September. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

too many posts to read tonight but....

I went into a second hand book store in Brixton, and asked the chap at the counter if they had any books about cruising. The look he gave his mate....
