Hi there! Hope you are all well.

I'm Bruno, a sailing yacht's new owner and I hope you can help me, because I'm struggling here.

I have a bow thruster Side Power SP 95T.
I was checking the bow thruster and noticed that it was covered with a black dust all around it (picture below).

So I tried to release the cap to investigate it.

I managed to release all the bolts but the cap didn't move 1mm to open.
Looks like it's glued.. (?) Is it supposed to open?

----

So I gave up on opening it and removed all the motor to check it.
And I realized that 2 brushes are smaller than the other 2. Maybe that's why it was realezing so much dust...

The opposites brushes are smaller.
Question 1) Any thoughts about why they are smaller than the other 2?

----

Beside the different sizes, all looked ok. So I just cleaned everything with an air spray, put it all together again and installed it back.
But now, the bow thruster doesn't start again (it was working before).

I suspect that is because when I was trying to release the cap (in the picture above) I removed that screw (in the picture above).
Now it doesn't screw in again... (it no longer has threads). I think that something that was tying it inside now is not there anymore.
But I can't investigate it properly because the cap doesn't go off.

So, 2 more questions:
1) That cap is supposed to come off?
2) And does it make sense that the bow thruster doesn't turn on anymore because of that screw?

I would appreciate very much any help..

Thank you,
Bruno
