Well thought out repair technique and use of appropriate sealant. I use the counter sunk idea on fixings as well, in theory it's a good idea.

Some photos and detail on the amazing job on LK's deadwood would be a good read. I saw the work at the half way stage today and it's radical.

I was planning to CW but frankly the weather this week has not been great for exterior laminating.
So have had my head in an Oyster 40 heads locker, trying to work out how I'm going to get a 110lt holding tank to fit in it.

Try a 90lt tank instead

Are you doing before and after photos of the deadwood? They'd make a great PBO article...

Somewhat of a delay in replying to you CW but you've seen the results now.
They may or may not become an article, that's in the hands of the PBO gods.

I won't be adding anymore to this thread as from the June Issue of PBO my ramblings (those that are publishable at least) are now in the mag.

The reason I've updated now and not earlier is frankly I wanted to see it in print before I pulled the plug.
