This new format is lousy! I thought ipc didn't have money to burn?

It's all in the timing. Reckon the powers that be have introduced the new software to divert all you old buggers away from moaning about the boat show. Smiley smiley smiley

By the way this upgrade is rubbish. Can't stick a smiley in using an ipad. Frustrated red smiley

It doesn't put recent posts in bold as you suggested.

Now you're making even less sense!

Do you mean this post, where I complained that it doesn't put things in bold?

I don't like the thread list though - it's not easy to tell which threads have new posts in. Instead of being obviously bold or not-bold, you have to distinguish between two very similar icons.

(In fact I've since noticed that it *does* bold the threads with unread posts, but the bold is a lot less pronounced and obvious than it was in the old style.)

I think it's great! Much cleaner, more visually appealing. Anyone who has problems reading it obviously needs glasses (or better glasses). Well done IPC!

I wear glasses; have done since I was a small boy. I take great care to ensure hat the lenses I wear are correct for my rather complex visual condition, and my vision is corrected properly for distance, screen and reading. I find the new format very tiring to read (despite not normally finding reading a screen tiring).

Obviously, people's needs visually differ. What we really need is a greater choice of "skins" on the forum, so that people can choose what suits them. vBulletin appears to support multiple skins; why not simply add more choices?

I'm a member of a number of other forums which use vBulletin 4.x and they use the same size/colour of text as here. People generally don't seem to find it a problem. Had you thought of using the zoom facility in your browser to increase the text size?

As a quick workaround, I've just added a new style which looses the pastel nature.

Scroll to the very bottom of your page, and bottom left you'll see a pull down menu, in that you'll find a style called IPC

Select it and see how we get on...Once I've worked out how to tweek it to make it clearer I will :)

Good work around. Like that it is more customisable (is that a word). Maybe you should do (say) three different versions of contrast to suit different tastes.... maybe you can please all of the people all of the time....? :-)

Would be good if you could increase font size of the text without expanding the whole screen... (just a suggestion).

I can't see any difference. Is it 1 April already?

Works a treat - thanks

I can't, because the "bookmarks" drop-down is dropped down and obscuring the bottom line. And won't un-drop.

IPC style is an improvement. Looking forward to your further tweeks.
