Once upon a tide, the mobo forum was the epitomy of how not to run a forum. Regulars pushed boundaries, posted non de plume, and just ran riot.

The forum posted more per day than any others. Now the raggies are catching up quick, and we are in danger of losing our posting status to the windy bunch! I call on all mobos to start posting on the beaches and everywhere else for that matter. Even Learner used to post from his PDA while at meetings!

Good grief, it's becoming boring, and more importantly PC!

Yes the Mobo's are ahead with Post, But talk about Threads, then PBO are ahead.

But then whats the old saying,,,,,,, Its not the Quantity, its the Quality that counts./forums/images/icons/wink.gif

It is simply because us raggies have got more to winge about (I mean earnestly debate).

You stinkies have hulls and engines (oh and I forgot, table lamps), us raggies have flappy things, bits of string, blocks, winches, vangs, thimbles, lazy jacks, etc, etc that all need to be debated at interminable length.

You're just bound to run out things to say sooner. We're so good at it we even prop up your flabby threads!

BTW, I noticed a dearth of proper 4x4's in the thread Landrover 110 is a proper vehicle unlike most of the hairdresser's wagons you have been talking about!

Back to my pontoon to splice a series drogue....

- not to mention "Casting my own lead keel" type discussions (see PBO forum), not sure what the mobo equivalent of that is, perhaps "making my own engine" or perhaps "refining my own petrol" - wonder why we don't have threads like that for mobo's?

I suspect that you have more sense! Although I did notice a bit of the stinkie v raggie debate getting a bit hot under the collar in another thread not so far away.

I thought it had been long established that the best sailors didn't own craft and spent most of their time propping up the bar.

Hmmm - I'm sure there is a named syndrome for not liking what you do or who you do it for..... /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif

"the best sailors didn't own craft and spent most of their time propping up the bar."

Ooh, an audiesnce with the Buttmaster

hm, i wonder what has prompted us to warrant a visit?

Anyway, you are right, we have indeed come across a raggie (with mobo tendencies) on another thread who has inadvertently found himself encircled by our whooping hoardes. Have you come to rescue him?

Well, I'm multi hulled, you know. A proper yot and a fishing boat, so I'm allow to cross dress.

Regarding a cavalry charge, I'm sure that the Col. Custer can look after himself.

The Craic

kind of went about 15 months ago.

No need to remind peeps why , suffice to say Kim had to set new standards of cropping and castration due to you know who/what. It will of course return here with time.

I consigned my last (ever) PDA to the bin after it managed to totally destroy my address book, email archives etc during a synch !!

Has to be said a very fine class of idiocy, tom-foolery and other maritime nonesense has now surfaced on shufflebutt , guess they must have got some renegade mobo-ers over there.

However winter is coming soon and it will be time to recount TB's and my somewhat limited maritime expeditions this year.

Re: virtual cherbourg

ah, but i've been there for ages!

Interestingly, almost all the virtual sailing boats seem to wham along at mobo speeds of 15 to 30 knots...

Re: virtual cherbourg

All raggies can cross channel in under 10 hours, despite any winds to contary?
Calling Solent on CH16 at 13:30 to log passage while 2/3 way over doesn't count?
