How should we view the new yacht 'A' - as the ultimate motor-sailer,albeit the size of an older channel ferry - or as a work of art,in which the traditional detail of a sailing ship has been deliberately suppressed in favour of a sheer form.It certainly has 'presence' but is equally unnerving to those with a traditional view.Isn't it just too Starck ?

I view it as a 'trophy' project. A deliberate attempt to produce the 'coolest' yacht. No doubt something even more unusual is on a drawing board somewhere. Whether you like it's appearance or not is entirely subjective. I'd like to know how it sails (as it's publicised as a sailing yacht.). It's an interesting rig, but there's an awful lot of hull windage. We may never know.

That's possibly the least informative video I've ever seen. Has the thing been seen sailing?

Computer aided graphics tells you nothing about how it is going to sail they don't even make the effort to show it actually having any sailing ability. So hardly in its pomp.

I have a feeling that I'm not on his list of potential clients and that maybe he's not very interested in my opinion.

None of the above.

It is simply a positive wealth statement.

I got the biggest and deepest pockets.

You would need a really long boat hook to pick up a mooring buoy.
