Sunk Sand depths?

BH w/e Blackwater to Calais. Planning as usual to cross Sunk Sand at either Sunk or SW Sunk beacons then Foulgers Gat. Anyone had experience of the current situation re depths around LW?

There were reports on this board last year, see <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.ybw.com/cgi-bin/forums/showthreaded.pl?Cat=&Board=ym&Number=362384>HERE</A>. At that time the depth at the SW Sunk Beacon crossing seemed to have shoaled significantly compared with most recent chart information, but still practicable to the west of the beacon up to mid tide. The depth at the crossing near the now ruined Little Sunk beacon was adequate at all stages of the tide. However, caution is needed in strong E/NE winds against the ebb, as overfalls can occur.
