Squeaking floorboards !!! How can I stop them

If the squeak is getting worse, something is degrading. That something may not be the sole boards or their supports either ..... they might just be taking more load because another load-bearing structure is getting weaker.

Boats do flex, and it's not uncommon for furniture units and mouldings to rub against other structures. But if it is 'getting worse' you should try and find the cause and not silence the messenger.

Its a Beneteau so squeeking comes with the boats from what I have seen at boat shows.

I would try using draught sealer where the boards meet the boat. Could be that you need to get more solid floor boards and then screw them down to the boat.

If it's cabinets squeaking, or the fixed part of the sole boards you could mount them on caulking like Sikaflex. Some boat builders do this anyway ....... If the caulking has failed, you probably need a bigger gap to allow more flexibilty, hence a thicker caulking seam.
