Not sure if that is the right word but I like the sound.
Can any of our biologist friends explain why there is so much sea foam at present? I've never seen it this prolific.
Came down the Wallet today and the sea was white. I went through one patch like a Guinness head. Sudden quiet as the bow wave was deadenned.

Yes. Seen that about.

Lifted this from Google :-

Sea foam, ocean foam, beach foam, or spume is a type of foam created by the agitation of seawater, particularly when it contains higher concentrations of dissolved organic matter (including proteins, lignins, and lipids) derived from sources such as the offshore breakdown of algal blooms.

It doesn’t usually bother me since there are so many natural causes. The shores of the tideless Baltic are lined with decaying organic matter, resulting in a pervasive smell/odour/scent.
