Looks like a high-friction reeving, particularly with the clew block rotates vertical.Here's mine... First season of use but so far working as intended...

I see it now. I thought the clew rotated the other way. I can see now that a 6:1 must be rigged at 90 degrees, but a 4:1 can be rigged two different ways, depending on whether you want 90 degrees or 0 degrees (more common, but not right for this application). Odd that Harken does not show that one.No friction at all from the crossing lines. Blocks are at right angles to each other in use. That's how you reeve two double blocks.
