Today I´ve find this site and this forum is very nice.

OK; I will buy Sundancer 290 or 300. This will be my first a little bit bigger boat so I dont know a lot about them. What do you think, is this crusier good on open sea? I will using it in Croatian sea (Europe).

Next week I will visit one of marines and will compare this two models. Everyone who is selling this yachts will say that this yacht is great, so I want to hear your opinions.

BTW.: I will buy model, which was made in 1998 or 1999..

Thanks!

Re: Sea Rays

I had a 1991 290 for 3 years and had no problems with it. It was on a lake in Georgia, USA, however. I now have a 1994 370 DA which I've had from new and have been very pleased with it. It now has 1100 hrs on 2 X 7.4l Mercruisers. This is in SW Florida where there are thousands of Sea Rays. We travel to the Florida Keys and Bahamas and have not experienced really heavy weather, but I like the ride the boat provides. American boats, although perhaps not as stylish as Euro boats have lots more space for the same length and more comfort items as standard. Furthermore, you will be buying from the world's larget boat builder with all that that entails. If I were you I would go for the 300DA because if you buy a 290 it will not be long before you want a bigger boat. We have a friend here who is very pleased with her new 300DA. VHF = very high frequency= the marine radio you will have on board. Hope this helps.

Re: Sea Rays

Thanks! Your yacht is great but here in Europe are prices very high. For example, four year old Sundancer 300 cost about 100 000 EU and with this money you can buy new Mercedes S.

I have seen two different Sea Rays 290 - one is Sea Ray Sundancer 290 and other is Sea Ray 290 DA. Is only different name and same model or is different model too?

THX! Jonny

Re: Sea Rays

Hi Jonny - Mercedes doesn't travel too well on water!!!
Sundancer = DA, so they are the same model. eg mine is 370 DA or 370 Sundancer.

Re: Sea Rays

This week I will visited marine and I am hoping that I will find some good boat. Problably I will decide for 300 DA because in price isn`t very big difference between 290 DA and 300 DA. Boat must have two engines and it would be nice if it have TV...:)

Thanks for informations!
