I had similar issues with my Hornet 4 system, but also had the issue that I had 4 analogue B&G gauges cut into my main bulkhead, so needed to address that problem also.

Solution was actually to stay with B&G and I picked up a Hydra computer and FFD NMEA display up on a secondhand site. For about £500 I have a cracking set of instruments and now also have the ability to call up more parameters on the FFD in the cockpit. I keep a watching eye on eBay, Apollo Duck and so on and will gradually build up a set of spares!

B&G tech support team were also brilliant in answering my various questions, particulary regarding getting my Garmin plotter to display onto the cockpit B&G displays..........their support all the more exceptional given I bought virtually nothing new, just one network terminator for a few pounds!

Raymarine display on my autopilot is ok but not a patch on the clarity of the B&G analogues and whilst I have sailed on a Corby 29 with Tackticks I was less than impressed with the quality of those displays, although I use their smaller mast compass on my RS300 dinghy.
