Rumour has it that when using an asymmetric spinnaker flying from a bowsprit, you can achieve better results when sailing deeper than a beam reach if the tack line is hauled to weather. I've no idea what this control line would be called, but as it seems to be doing the opposite of a barber hauler, I'll refer to it as a rebrab hauler.

I tried it yesterday and it seems to be effective, enabling the asym to set better on a broad reach. However, I couldn't decide on what was the best way to attach the rebrab haulers to the tack line. Options were...

1) Connect all 3 lines (2 rebrabs, 1 tack line) to the tack. However, the snap shackle's closed eye is not big enough to get 3 lines through, so some other knot or shackle is required that can take a 3-way load.

2) Use 2 normal blocks on the tack line, one above the other.

3) Some other strange double-sided block pair that can have a line attached at either end. I don't know if these devices are made, I couldn't see one in the West catalog, and if anyone would have one it's probably them.

Any other suggestions of how to attach my rebrab haulers?

Here's a diagram to show what's going on. The rebrab haulers are purple.
