Radar reflectors again.

FMCW in a strict sense is different.
There are radars, or radar sensors, where the transmit is actually continuous, not pulsed at all, while 'broadband' radar is pulsed, but the (longer) pulses carry a lot of modulation.
I'm not really into fishing boat radar, but I've dabbled in fighter aircraft radar, old skool airfield radar and phased array stuff.
I tend to components like filters that cost a lot more than a fairly nice yacht radar.
More fun than the tedious cheap stuff I'm working on today!

Hi,the same problem I have with a small yacht. The back stay does not work as the angle is not good for any
Reflectors.the only one that is any good is the Echomax and test results have proved this being done by an independent
Laboratory. They recommend hanging this vertically from the spreaders and stable to ad void the shadow of the mast.
The best answer if you have power is theEchomaxXS which picks up and one with radar on.This is where it is better that AIS.The French now have an active one by foxtrot marine but don't know of any test results!,
Can any one help.
Hope this helps your query.
