Primary filters

I currently have a pre-filter on a thorneycroft 180 which is a glass bowl type separator. I am considering whether to replace this with a bottom drain type(which is not a see through), is it possible to have 2 pre-filters, does it create more probs re air leaks or is it worth doing ? Any advice greatly appreciated(tank situ and config makes it almost imposs to clean fully).

you should be able to put as many water seperators in the line as you want ....but it still wont stop the first one getting gunged up !

is yours a CAV type with a through bolt? and if its hard to get at......why not move it?
