Post a pic of your yacht - big or small

Us but alongside a visiting Little Ship which berthed alongside us at Haslar and might be of interest as well.

I wonder if that is the Clyde built motorboat from Northerney Marina. If it is it was rafted up to us in Dartmouth and I got a tour. Splendid boat and very well looked after. IIRC the owner was called Michael. I showed him my copy of 'Para Handy' - he replied 'Chust Sublime!'

No stuffed wombles on board, by any chance?

I believe Mimosa has a website in case of interest. I do recall the owners had a couple of deckchairs to sun themselves on the bow but don’t recall the names.

Now..and still happy in a green and beautiful UK :)
That's not March Hare is it? I spent 2 glorious summers in the 90s full time on a Sailfish exploring every ditch and all up the coast from Rochester to London to Wells next the sea. Simple times. No autohelm, no gadgets, not even depth. Hand bearing compass and a chart. Lovely times were had.

Hi, she wasn't named March Hare when I bought her less than a year ago and she had belonged to the previous owner from almost new, so it's a fairly certain negative on March Hare. Almost everything else matches though, paper charts and Portland Plotter, no Auto Pilot, only electronics onboard is a Depth Sounder, and a strip light from a Caravan bathroom cabinet below in the cabin. Usually I wait until she touches and then wind the keel up a couple of turns. 😀 Hand held VHF and an old but excellent Magnetic Compass which I'm told came from an RAF Rescue Launch. I get to places and overnight at anchor or dry out where even the Ducks are surprised to see me. I woke up early one morning when a tree branch landed on the cockpit tent. 🤣

Lovely location Porthandbuoy. I sailed out of there for about 5 years, a long time ago. There was still a long spit and genuine narrows back then.

There's still a long spit and a narrow channel. Quite amusing watching foreign flagged warships coming in; anchors atrip, going at a snail's pace, tugs in attendance. Then the RN come in; at a good pace, 2 or more in line astern, anchors fully home, no tugs, and 5 blasts on the horn for anyone with the temerity to get in the way. Though I did call one up a couple of years ago and he graciously slowed down to allow me through before him. My crew, both retired submariners, jaws dropped, "You got a skimmer to slow down for you! You cheeky b****d!"
