Congratulations on a lovely looking boat !

I am new to the forum and have been very impressed with the willing advice and encouragement you have received.

I have followed your recent posts with interest as I am probably 18 months away from being in a very similar position. A lot of the questions you have been asking are ones that have been floating around in my head......

Enjoy !

I have not seen inside there, will take a look Monday shawn, but I'd be reading the survey report to see if he did report the hose not connected.

Laner, that does look snotty. I am amazed that the sump isn't better protected. On my Merc's, there is a plasticised coating that repels water and prevents corrosion. You are also recommended to spray a WD 40 type water repellent annually when winterising. This might help you in the future.

Took on an I phone I was just snapping random shots, they came out pretty good, you can see " the tide Mark" in one shot how far the water has been sat, the length of time where the rusted water has stained the grp liner. It amazes me how owners can just neglect there toy until this happens. It wasn't the previous owner, Ian is a gentleman, he was horrified at my findings, he has clearly spent a fortune on the boat as it's a real minter.

It was also a real pleasure to sit with seller and buyer after the surveys and talk open and honest about remedial costs , which produced a very amicable result for seller and buyer.

A great result by all.

your right paul ian the seller was a true gent, he has took the radar arch off for me today took everything off the boat that needed taking off for the transportation and put it all safe inside the boat

he waited around for the lorry to come and made sure everything was done and then called me to say it was on its way

best of all he has left us 2 small bottle of champagne in the fridge now that was a nice touch then he rang me tonight to make sure it all got there safe with no hicups

now thats what you call a decent bloke i just really hope he finds another boat that will be good for him and i think he will be calling you to check it out. and just a heads up paul he has a short list of boats to look at and they are all in spain happy surveying mate :D:D

S37

Hi Shawn. Only just got your PM, and have replied - hope you get it.
We had two S37's, one with Volvo AD41's (a bit underpowered but OK) and a new one with Mercruisers. In my view, the S37 is one of the best boats ever to be made by Sealine - excellent sea manners, big interior and lots of storage space and a great cockpit for entertaining. You particular example is absolutley immaculate - congratulations!!

Very nice touch, Mark & Arwen left WMBO & I a bottle of Pink Fizz when we took ownership of Evenstar, really makes a difference when you get on with the previous owner
