Leaving aside the wiring mess and getting wind speed to work again ... I have my least fav item to deal with : weathered teak slats.
Unlike many people - I detest silvered weathered teak ... it always makes me think of decaying wood left at back of a yard ...
The cockpit benches, sole ... and cabin soles are all teak slats ...
Cabin's not so bad as walking keeps the wood worn and silvering at bay.
It looks silver - but camera flash caused it to look lighter than it really is.
But the cockpit being exposed - has that silvering.
It will be light sanding - the slats are not thin like later boats - these are thick jobbies ! Brushed off ... then treated to bring out the beauty of the teak. Lightly of course so no staining of clothes etc, when sitting down. I have already the treatment ... so no need to recc'd products not available over here !! Its a preservative water based stain designed for boats .. decking of pontoons ... balconys ... etc. It prevents mould, preserves the wood and brings up the grain and colour ...
Probably the nearest UK boaters would have is Burgess Wood Stain ? Or similar where the fluid soaks in and leaves no outer skin.
