I now realise that there is absolutely no point in asking anyone for their opinion on a particular boat. Everyone loves their own boat too much to be objective. It seems to me that when the time comes to get a new one, the best course of action is to involve no-one and just order it. Listen to no-body but yourself.

Re: anyway, what are you going to buy? nm

I'm not telling you. You would only say that it was not any good. Even though it definitely would be! Tell you what. I will give one clue a day to it's identity and the one who gets it first wins a slap up sandwich at The Folly.

Clue 1. British built.

Oh Dear !!

I have a simple solution ... I can't afford it anyway ... keeping 3 boats going is enough without changing any !!

Legend.

Either the Hunter version of the American owned lot now built in Weymouth.

See I get two attempts for a single guess!

Re: raggies in stinkpots

This is always great fun: either to vent their frustrations, or possibly because sailboat engines tend towards being "on" or "off", or possibly because a large portion of time on a sailing yacht is to make it go as reasonably quickly as possible...the very fastest powerboats boats on the water are being driven by raggies!

So, I was very disappointed that the boat-swap feature in the mags recently was so tame: the stinkies should have put up all the laundry and had a knockdown, followed by being driven over by the cackling raggies in a powerboat, who then beached the powerboat at high speed as they were watching the sinking sailboat. Would have made a much better article, imho.
