[ QUOTE ]
So it says on my boat crockery. What language, and what does it mean?

Anyone know where I can get a replacement plate from? I stood on one, and it didn't like it.

Yep, Latin. To sail is to live?

I have seen frig magnets with 'Navigare necesite est' - to sail is essential.

The one I like is 'Days spent sailing do not count towards your lifespan'.

Original sentence is as follows:

Navigare necesse est, vivere non est necesse!
