i honestly have no idea! Its largely irrelevant to me as it comes under the "Dream" category regardless but gave me something nice to look at whilst supping my rum and working out my plans to provide the world with something everyone needs!

how do even become so wealthy to be able to buy something like that, obviously you have your lottery wins.

THis is very much a guess but the third photo looks very much like the yacht owned by the second in command to Bill Gates and plys the Carribian circuit. But no douby someone will be along with exact info

location is spot on! was in the Grenadines last week.

saw some amazing boats (mostly sailing boats but can appreciate their beauty!) over the week but clearly there is some money in the world!

Yup as Pete says 1+2 are a Benetti Classic, 115, of which they built about 20. Paradigm is an early one and is for sale: I'd guess Pete's £3m is right

#3 is a bit of an old banger. Certainly not anyone in Microsoft :-)

I don't know what #4 is. Not one of the well known classics of that genre (Savrona, Haida G and Delphine). Will have to google later; going out now

paradigm is up for USD 8m built 2006 and refitted 2008.

pics of the inside are not as nice as i first thought but still wouldnt say no!

There was another one somewhere on the camera but i cant find it at the moment.

Happy to be corrected but I don't think she is a 2006er. I think she is one of the very early builds in that series. More like 1998-2000. She has had 2 previous names before Paradigm, so several owners

She may be up for USD8m but I still think Pete's £3m (say €4m) is nearer the mark!

With exception of octopus and the classic boat last pic they are all quite dated old boats so the 4m would probably cover the first couple of pics. Dated boats small engines, dated interiors no modern kit etc etc.

The lovely old classic yacht looks rather like Nahlin - here is a photo of her on the River Dart last summer - http://www.yachtingworld.com/supersail/news/491898/nahlin-visits-the-river-dart

And a bit of background info about her from PMY's '100 Largest Yachts in 2010'

28) Nahlin | 300'0" (22)
Year Launched: 1930/2010; Builder: John Brown & Co., Scotland/Blohm & Voss, Germany;
Naval Architect: G.L. Watson; Hull material: Steel; Engines: 4/Brown-Curtis steam turbines/unknown after refit

Z1ppy, how about a 'whereizzit' for your photos?
I'm pretty sure I know where all of them are - for a hint, have a look at Z1ppy's 'Whoizzit' post on Scuttlebutt re a large blue sailing cat. The island in the background is (I think) the same as in the photo of Nahlin.

PS - re the Benetti, they obviously haven't taken on board Craig's sage advice re how one shouldn't use Danforths (or clones) as bower anchors - but I am sure that they are anchored very nicely in excellent holding sand....... :)
And Rocnas won't stow too well in hawse pipes.

For a bonus point, does anybody recognise the flag on the stern of the Bennetti?

A bit of thread drift, but while on the subject of Benettis, has anyone ever seen a smaller version about 80' called Bambu? I saw her in Antigua in '87, and then again up in Newport that summer.

Sorry,

Should have been clear, pics 1 and 2 are same boat and pic 1,2 and 3 are all taken at Tobago Cays.

Pic 4 as well as the ones on YBM are taken from the beach looking over to Union Island.
