I haven't used it for quite a while until today. I had to log in again, and it told me I was on a Loyalty Plan, because I'm such a nice lad.Mine hasn’t changed. Perhaps you have a poor connection?
Looks like you have pay to see anything better? We are not impressed View attachment 207147
Yeah. That's what I'm thinking as well.Looks like you have pay to see anything better?
Before you fork out......and according to how you use MarineTraffic.......the free Orca app may cover your needs. Requires phone signal/internet connection (like MarineTraffic). Shows AIS targets overlaid on a reasonably detailed (dependent on location) chart. Seems to use same source data as MarineTraffic etc.Yeah. That's what I'm thinking as well.

Same here, yes it is very poor. I am on a subscription "mobile pro plan" and will complain! It will not rotate to landscape on my tablet and on the nautical chart view it is so cluttered you can't see the boats. Despite being logged in, everg time I open the app I have to reset my personal setting as it always goes back to the default settings. We are not impressed View attachment 207147

The options without paying are simple and satellite whereas we previously had the nautical on the free version. Other stuff like track is also very fiddlyClick "Map type" top right then change from "Light map" to something else. I use "Satellite map".
I like Orca's mapping, but I find that very few AIS targets show. Before you fork out......and according to how you use MarineTraffic.......the free Orca app may cover your needs. The only paid plan its offering me on my phone is a Mobile Plan which is €31 annually. Maybe different on laptop?I'm on a basic plan (£10 a year I think?). The only improvement is that I can now get nautical charts as a map choice.
I can no longer see the track of a vessel, and as someone previously stated it all needs resetting every time you log in.
Mine is the Basic Plan, through Google Play. Still says it will renew in July at £9.49 for the year. The only paid plan its offering me on my phone is a Mobile Plan which is €31 annually. Maybe different on laptop?
For anyone following this advice, please be very wary about installing apps from unknown sources via a Google search!Uninstall the updated version of MarineTraffic. Do a Google search for "MarineTraffic APK 4.*".
Tap the downloaded file, tap "install".
Sorted
Ver 4.195 is the version to go for IMHO
No Android. I checked Google Play and it just offered me an update which I accepted. Takes me to my existing app and the only plan on offer is Mobile @ €31 per annum.Mine is the Basic Plan, through Google Play. Still says it will renew in July at £9.49 for the year.
Are you on iPhone? Might be different on that platform.
Sounds the the Met Office app upgrade. I wonder whether it is the same developers !If you are not happy with the recent app changes I suggest you complain. I did and got a reply with little suggestion of anything happening soon. "Thank you for your feedback, rest assured that it has been forwarded to the developers. While a revert to the previous version is not possible, they are already working on adding more features in the upcoming updates"

These both seem pretty cheap. Here's the offering for my Win10 PC and Firefox:No Android. I checked Google Play and it just offered me an update which I accepted. Takes me to my existing app and the only plan on offer is Mobile @ €31 per annum.
