They should be called Marine Super Service . I ordered some deck hardware on Friday afternoon and have just taken delivery here in Portugal.
I don't agree so far... I ordered a bunch of stuff over a week ago and they eventually sent me an e-mail to say that 2 of the items (I ordered 2 of each item plus a load of other stuff) were out of stock despite the website saying that they were available at the time of ordering.
They have now ordered them from their suppliers and I can expect a 1-2 week delay. Ah... ok... that's inconvenient but I can live with that I suppose and get on with other jobs. Now it seems they aren't sending any of my order until those few bits arrive and I can't get on with the other jobs I need to do either cos I don't have what I need! If I'd known they weren't gonna send any of it I would have cancelled the whole order and bought it elsewhere. At least when Force 4 or others are out of stock of some items they send what they have at the time and the rest follows on later when they get it.![]()

Just to confirm, is it MarineSuperStore (based in Port Solent) you're referring to, and not a similarly named place?
I've always had top notch service from MarineSuperStore, however a similarly named place has had a lot of bad press with the kind of thing you're explaining.
No, not the siMilarly named place. And also no, I hadn't asked them to send the rest of the order seperately, it was only after a week of waiting had already passed that I realised that they weren't sending it. Every other online chandlery I have dealt with to date has automatically sent the stuff I ordered (that they had in stock) and any outstanding items within a couple or 3 days without having to be specifically asked to do so.
In their defence it's not a warehouse, everything is on the shelves so although it may be "in stock" it might not be where they left it or may have been stolen. When they attend SIBS the shop is pretty much empty so I'm amazed they manage so well usually. Not much comfort to you but it may help to explain the stock level inconsistency.Hey I know that, and I wasn't having a real pop, I was just sharing my experience in response to someone else doing the same thing. I've used 'em before with no probs but am less likely to do so again. When something is listed as being in stock I would expect it to be so and therefore available for immediate despatch. That is, after all, one of the criteria that helps one decide whether to proceed to checkout or to look elsewhere isn't it?![]()
Oredered a GPS from them last Friday, it arrived on the Monday but FedEx gave it to my neighbours as I was out, it's still with my neighbours as they are now outI want to play with my new toy...
Agreed, I've had to jump in the car before and chase the Posty downThey do a mile in 5 minutes these boys, couldn't believe how far he had got

Better than crummy Royal Mail/Parcelfarce and their insistence on returning things to the depot, making you wait 24 hours before collecting. The number of times I've been at home waiting for a package, only to hear the letterbox go and when I check there's a "Missed you" card telling me to collect in 24 hours... Grrr!
