Liverpool Yacht Club "http://www.lyc.org.uk" was granted six single-handed dinghies and a RIB. The key seems to be not to let all the forms intimidate you:
Simply, on one side of A4 put down:-
What you want
Why you want it
How much it will cost
How it will advance the aims of the club
and show that to your local RYA rep. If the RYA gives you the nod then tackle the lottery forms. The informal OK from the RYA doesn't guarantee success, but a NO from the RYA will kill your bid 100% dead.
