Lay-up ashore between Lagos and Gib

Any recommendations for laying up ashore this winter - somewhere between Lagos and Gibraltar with cost being the main consideration.

Hi....Bruce's yard Faro....right near the Airport too...about a mile..only accessible near h.w tho'...It is the cheapest down there.!

for cost Bruce's can't be beaten, it can be a bit interesting getting in and out though. If you anchor in the pool at Faro, Bruce will come out and lead you in. If you draw over 1.8m I would think carefully. The boatyard was a bit rough and ready although Bruce has been smartening up the facilities.

Thanks, guys. It could be said that my boat is a bit rough and ready anyway and as it draws 1.75m, it should make for an interesting experience!

When we asked last year Bruce couldn't lift a 6m beam cat. Does anyone know if he has upgraded his lifting gear so that he can now?

How about Porto Gelves up the river next to Seville. We left our long keel yacht there for one winter about 2003. Mast height is the only drawback but the wire is high enough for a Nauticat 38'. Easy access into Seville and flights home. We flew back for a few weeks via Malaga and caught a train to Seville - lovely journey through the mountains. The tiny marina was very crowded but storage room ashore was ok.
