Hi guys I have no cranking on my port engine all the obvious has been checked there is no signal coming from the ECU to engage the starter relay for cranking the stb engine was behaving like this a few weeks ago but started out of the blue once it was running the port engine them developed the very same fault and still won't crank today I was wondering if there a possible component that links the two engines that could behave in this manor (kamd44 p/b) any help would be great and will be rewarded with a bottle of Gin 😉

You need to read the fault code / codes .
From what you have said it sounds like just low battery voltage .
Run the other engine and by means of a jump lead or your battery link switch try again, the early 44s dont like low battery voltage .
Do you hear a clunk then nothing when trying, if so it’s because the starter takes the voltage then it drops cutting out the ECUs cape ability to continue .
Are you on single round 16 pin ECU loom or the later 2 square 8 pin ECU loom ?

Just read your Reply Paul and thank you I got it sorted today there was two pins in the 16pin loom that had previously been damaged and had been pushed back far enough to loose contact, that k you for looking at this 👍
