HM Inland Revenue are advertising on this site now. Can't we get a break from them anywhere?

Oh I know you have to pay the taxes. It's their logos and their ghastly attempts at chumming up to us in a corporate way that gives me the pip. It's bad enough that supermarkets and banks do it... but the IR! I ask you.

Look at it this way. We're not giving the IR these banners for free, are we? So the funds those banners are generating are helping us to keep these facilities going? So in fact you're getting a mini tax break every time you post (well, okay a bit stretched as a piece of logic but makes me feel better) /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

This is a very positive view. I'm trying to be positive too. Honest. But when I see the IR logo in the place I go for R & R I can't help but feel... push off. Go away. You're in enough of my life already. Grr.

Quite the opposite to the attitude my ex-business partner held.
Now, what you meant to say was that I am paying tax to fund IPC & co.

If my tax bill funds this forum..
does that mean that we can have our paid for advertising in the directory for free from now on?
