This has got me thinking. The latest Rustler 33 to be launched.

It's a beautiful boat no doubt but one would be buying too much boat for the usable space.
The reason I am thinking about it seriously is that I don't want or need the space. Our 44 footer had loads of it and the seldom used it.

This is a thing of beauty. It has a heads, a stove, and a bed. Perfect for the odd night at anchor, or a weekend away. Even more perfect as a day sailor.

I just need to persuade them to do a lifting keel!

A lovely boat; for someone else to own !

NB no guardrails, pulpit or pushpit, an accident waiting to happen, one doesn't always have skilled crews.

Yep. Here, on the East coast there is a conspiracy amongst all the newspapers. They have all agreed not to report the scores of deaths which occur every weekend through people falling off their old gaffers.

I feel another Victor Meldrew moment coming on! I'll describe it as I describe art: Looks pretty, but with no function.

I don't know why but Rustler just seem to nail exactly what i want from a boat.

Just wish i could afford one!

totally agree. Love the 33. the 36. Would love the 24 as a daysailor. Saw the 44 in Alderney recently and absolutely loved it. Not sure completely why as it wasn't really beautiful, but just looked amazing

What looks romantic in the pub of an evening may be different in the harsh reality of a F6 at night; and yes I have sailed in such Folkboats, the romance quickly wore off !

Depends what you're buying the boat for though doesn't it? Offshore passage making, some guardrails would be a good idea. Local daysailing in "Gentleman yachting" mode, perhaps not necessary.

As has been stated, they're an option, and that owner decided they weren't necessary. I for one would find it rude to question his judgement, at least without knowing what use he intended to put the boat to!
