Has anyone any experience of the Hurley 27?
I am particuarly interested in her suitability for offshore sailing.

No reason why it should not be suitable, a guy did an atlantic circuit in a dockerel 27 (same boat different builder after hurley went bust) and previous to that he also did an atlantic circuit in a Hurley 20.

Still there are quite a few similar to the Hurley 27 all capable boats, Halcyon 27, contessa 26, invicta and albin vega 27 all spring to mind

I have a Bowman 26, which was a direct fore-runner of the Hurley's. Designed by Ian Anderson, it is great. Well built, long keel, very seaworthy/seakindly boat & the extra 1' added to the length to make into the Hurley 27 gave more space below & on deck, without affecting the seaworthiness.
Given the time (& SWMBO permission!!) I would happily take mine literally anywhere.
Rgds
Mike
