First Service before 50 hrs = £300, 2nd Service after another 100 hrs = £300, 3rd service after another 100 hrs = £1200!!!

Basically to keep your engines within Volvo warranty you have to have them serviced every 100 hours after the initial 50 hrs service. Ever other 100hr service is a big one (well expensive anyway). Bit of a con really cause they change everything, belts, impeller, hydraulic fluid in the superchargers, every filter on the engines, check tappets, coolant antifreeze, engine oil and they are all changed and charged for whether they need replacing or not.
How can they justify changing things like belts on engines that are just over a year old??? I asked to keep my old belts as spares, they look like new but they change them anyway.

This line of questions seems almost the same as one of your older ones about changing boat, and the answers are same second time around-what do you want the boat for?, or what exactly is wrong with the present one? As is said here, old average yardstick is 50hrs for sports,100 for cruiser..thats engine time, not being on board time. Might not sound alot, but for most people its quite hard to actually be able to make much more use out of their boat (though the active memebers of this forum may not be representative)-travelling,other commitments, weather etc. Boats are an emotional experience and like all hobbies are not going to make alot of sense if you want to examine them too closely financially. First question was fair enough, but I was amazed to see a post with 81 replies, but i see over a third of them are added by you...and administrator posts come high up the list. Spare us a little, please.
