I’m not sure what model my Shetland Cabin Cruiser is. I’m looking to get new windows as these are a bit crazed.

Can anyone help?

Thanks, that’s a fair point actually.

They are quite badly crazed. As a minimum I need to redo the seals. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were the original windows from 1985.

As said get new windows cut using the old ones as patterns. Get the edges finished as well to make fitting into the rubbers easier.

You may have to get the front window moulded to the curve. It can easily be done by "drape moulding" using the old one as the mould if you go to the right supplier It will certainly be easier to fit it already curved

Make sure you get the right rubbers to match the window thickness and the fibreglass thickness and also that will fit the radius of the corners

Seals+direct, Rubber Door Seals | Rubber Extrusions | Window Rubbers | Boat and Caravan Seals | UK are probably the best place to go for the rubbers and infill strip

Thanks both!
Is the association still active do you know?

Perhaps it is a 1982. Any recommendations on suitable companies to replace the windows, and the carpets internally?

The windows were polycarbonate and the curved front window was just bent in situ as as they are quite thin.

Suggestions

Hadlow marine ( Kent)

Project plastics ( Essex)

Eagle Boat Windows (Suffolk..... Used to be "up north" somewhere)

Is it really worth paying someone to do the windows and carpets on a small boat of that vintage?

Polycarbonate from any number of on-line suppliers, Give them paper templates and they'll cut them for you. Talk to them about the curved screen - they could do that for you if it isn't within the realm of simple DIY. I'd be amazed if these guys don't have the rubber joint. As for the carpet, if you aren't good with a Stanley knife, use carpet squares.

That’s my fault for not being clear. I will be doing the work myself, it’s suppliers I was after.
