Hi all,
I’m urgently looking for detailed information about the rudder blade of a Jeanneau Sun Magic 44 (late 1980s / early 1990s).
As far as I understand, this is the same design used on the Sun Odyssey 44 and the Atlantic 44 (all based on the Daniel Andrieu design), with a spade rudder configuration.
I need to rebuild the rudder blade from scratch and I’m trying to gather as much technical information as possible, including:
* Overall dimensions (height, chord lengths, thickness distribution)
* Rudder stock diameter and position (balance ratio)
* Section shape (NACA profile or similar)
* Construction details (foam core, laminate schedule, materials, stock bonding, etc.)
* buoyancy considerations (solid vs foam-filled)
* Any drawings, original plans, or measurements from an existing rudder
Even partial measurements, photos with scale, or personal experience rebuilding one would be extremely helpful.
If anyone has already rebuilt or repaired a rudder on this model (or a sistership), I’d really appreciate your input.
Thanks in advance!
