Gear ratio

Hi,
I need to change my current props, and SMM engineering in Gravesend are happy to help me work out exactly what I need if I can priovide all the vital statistics of my boat. One thing they have asked for is the the gear ratio, and I have no idea. I have a pair of Volvo TAMD31A with MS4A reversing gears, can any one help me with this please?

There will be more than one gear ratio of MS4 series boxes used on early 31.
eg: 2.63:1 or 1.93:1

Ring up any major VP dealer, after all thats what they are there for, with the serial number and they will be able to tell you which ratio you have.

Thats what they are there for? I thought they were there to earn a living from selling services and parts, not answer questions and give impartial advice to the unknowing. I'll give Volspec a call then...
