Fancy one of these?

From their blurb...

'In order to protect the interiors from occasional showers...'

Not much good for Wales then. Or Scotland. Or Ireland. Or England during months with an 'A' or an 'R' in them.

Look's to small for that style yacht - prefer a wally /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Next boat i want is a Swan 45, once you go swedish there's nothing like it, but goner wait and keep upgrading mine as iam more than happy with her.

Where's the fun in that. It's all shiny and looks like nothing's going to go wrong. Except for falling over the stern after cracking your head on that huge boom of course.

I'd imagine they roll alot downwind?

I love: -

Osyter's, Swans, Sweden Yachts.

1 day after i have sold my liver, lung and kidney.

stella what's DB crew??

Drop dead gorgeous

Wow, dead sexy. Styling very Wally inspired. Beautiful looking boat imho. Great med dayboat (even superyacht tender), actually has some sunbathing/lounging space instead of deck carnageclutter everywhere like all other 38footers

If they really wanna make it even more special they should have added some glass set flat in the deck like Dangerous But Fun and the fabulous new Ghost.

I hope the interior furniture fit and finish is better than the highly disappointing (interior-wise) Wallys (though it doesn't have much interior furniture, so should be ok)

Great photos, but the skipper should have taken his shoes off, doh.

Dangerous and Fun, but Shoddy

Dangerous but Fun is stunning to look at Woody, but absolutely crap fitout inside. I've been on her. The doors dont line up, the surfaces are cheap, the bathrooms are utilitarian. Yuk. The styling is intended to be minimalist but minimalism takes perfect execution and perfect selection of materials, and the yard that built her (not sure, Tunisia I think?) cant do it.

So if you win the pools x2 commission a Wally from Pendennis (or Huisman, if they'll do one) and get it made properly. Or take a look at Ghost (and buy some extra lotto tickets) and ask Huisman to make you one of those

Re: Dangerous and Fun, but Shoddy

Many modern boats are designed without transom as in this case. It looks like any sort of wave would go below and the companionway would be flooded.

A bathing platform with hot shower seems to be the most important selling point.

Whilst they look nice are these designs practical for lake sailing never mind seaworthy ? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Re: Drop dead gorgeous

I think it will almost certainly be designed by Luca Brenta, one ofthe main designers at Wally so its bound to be similar.

Re: Drop dead gorgeous

Actually a Huisman built by Huisman would probly be fine. Hyperion is for sale, since last September. Asking price $29 but open to offers. Remember to budget for a software engineer in the crew as well as the usual sailor types - there are 13 servers running Unix. Here she is two weekends ago, Cap DAntibes. Beautiful machine.
