Following the revelation that two forum members are residents of Dorking it seems obvious that... etc.. Anyone?

<hr width=100% size=1>my opinion is complete rubbish, probably.

You mean to say that there are actually 2 people living in Dorking!
I'm not far from Dorking, other side of the Lump. I'm not far from Witsend apparently. The wife says I'm driving her there now! Got news for her, I'm on this thing.

Being a part time parent is the reason for the Tuesday/Wednesday suggestion. So, d'you fancy a beer this Wednesday?

Haven't met B1 yet either, so no comparison available. But internet weirdo, yes, definitely.

OK, get the 'ol..........sorry, get B1 to spark up the zimmer frame and twist my arm. What pub are you looking at bearing in mind I don't normally go to Dorking

Where are you coming from? I've only lived here for 6 months, so can only suggest The Hatch at Wotton, or the Plough at Coldharbour. But if you know anywhere better, glad to learn.

6 Months! When are you moving then?........umm I'm in Tadworth. Don't really know any of the pubs in dorking so anywhere will do

Loads of pubs in Dorking....starting from east of town....Watermill...Surrey Yeoman...another two up Dene street...Malthouse down by footy club...White Horse hotel bar..The Bulls Head..the Cricketers...Queens Head at corner of Horsham Road, the Old House at Home(closed for refurb),The Star and Kings Arms all in West Street....The Pilgrim by Dorking West Station....thats 14 so far and I know Ive missed a couple...should I go on? Theres loads more in the small villages nearby.
I'm not a great drinker (lived here 15 years and not been in many of em)so dont know any of them well but suggest either the Watermill (on A25 just east of town) or The Running Horses at Mickleham just off A24 on way to Leatherhead.
Theres also the Cock Horse at Headley which I seem to remember barry saying was a haunt of his.

Oh yes....and if its wednesday I might come.......surprised a few more havent surfaced yet.

Mickleham or Headley would be equitable distances for we three. After work or after supper?

B1 - want a lift? Have to drive by your place anyway..

You will not recognise boatless or me but barryh is the ugly one with a piston in his ear......./forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
Seriously.....I will be the one in the blue fine check shirt...short, stubby and with a lot of hair for my age !

OK, according to the PM I just recieved I'm a blind man, I am a blind man but thats another story. So in future can we all wear a red rose or summink so we can spot each other in a crowded bar. Not that the bar was crowded seeing as there was at least 8 people in the whole place last night! The barmaid took up most of the room with her bust, which was probably the reason I wasn't looking where I was 'sposed to be......hey ho

Were you standing at the bar then? When did you arrive? Robin and I were just inside the front door, round table?

ps You've just blown mine and Robin's plan to announce that over 50 people turned up unannounced?

Personally, I thought her bum was a bit big, and she didn't do the Shamrock thing on my Guinness. Or ask for my 'phone number...
