Contest 101 refurbishment

Having just replaced one of two Contest 101 compasses the remaining is looking very worn and tired, mainly because for most of the time it didn't have a cover on and the glass looks blurred.

Is it possible to do anything about this? Polish or whatever?

Not sure about the compass application, but for glass windows, Brasso on a soft rag works wonders.

don't think there is much you can do, UV light attacks the plastic and discolours.

I polished up an old compass plastic dome that was cloudy and brownish using Farelca G3 (all I had) and it came up great. I hear that G10 may be better though.
