Gordon, there was a 50 ft converted fishing trawler along the street pontoon (inner harbour) last season, though he might have had a bow thruster! so you tie up before the rest of us go in:D
You can also contact David on, 07825332185, he is one of the attendants who collects the fees, DONT give him any cheek!

Thanks, Eammon.
Geoff from Escapade contacted me and it looks as though my crew ranks will be swelled, at least from Cumbrae onward.
Alex is still a bit hampered mobility-wise because of his ankle so I will be more confident in close quarter manoevering with fit young Escapaders to do the leaping and string pulling.

Does anyone know the max LOA for the inner harbour at Rothesay?
I suspect if the decision is to go for it I will be restricted to the hammerhead, outer harbour.
Sensible thing would be to phone ahead, but who does sensible?

We've taken our 44' in there several times, usually reversed into the corner nearest the victorian loos or alongside the walkway nearest the main road.
We're probably at the max, but Davey trusts us not to cause a scene  and take her back out if there are no alongsides free. Been on the hammerhead inside too, but can't take that berth too early in the day.

Called in to the CWC on mon while cycling around the island.
Spoke with one of the staff who agreed there was no problem to us holding the event, he enquired about numbers.
They were dissapointed that no one fell through the broken pontoon last event though, and asked if we required any tugs to be deployed?;):p

All going well with boat, was intending antifouling early next week but on way home this eve my van has either crunched a big end brg or something as serious.
Need to look for another van now.:(

You've been a bit unlucky with vehicle engines lately Eamonn, perhaps you should consider a more permanent relationship with the bike.
Got the mast straight yet?

We bought a Thompson T31 last Juy.
Love to join you all, tell me more.
Hi, and welcome. I'm sitting in Bristol Airport so may be able to come back with a better answer later tonight.

There is an early season Scuttlebutt meet in April, and a late season one on the weekend of the Tarbert Folk festival.

Friday night is always on the free pontoon at the sailing centre on Cumbrae, Sat night varies.

Search on here for 'scuttlebutt' or click on my username and look back through my posts - I don't post that often.

If you click on danielle's username, then you might find the threads easier as he's an infrequent poster, but always pops up on the scuttlebutt threads. See http://www.ybw.com/forums/search.php?searchid=5448682

Have a read through previous threads for before and after discussions and photos - you'll be able to work out who goes.

Ash

We spent Saturday night on the pontoon at Cumbrae. It's back in one piece, but one of the fixings is still broken.

You must have been frozen. Woke in Kip about 4.00am and outside temp was -2c, nice and toasty inside though with the heater on.

If get MS ready will try and make the muster. But you must all promise not the scrape my newly painted hull.

Just to help resolve the date & time issue:

This is the one for the 2012 Clyde Scuttlebutt thread on 27/04/12. ;)

Edit:
Well Gina now has a washed and freshly antifouled bottom (that was hard work between one tide).
Just an engine service, tidy-up, store-ship & we're there! :)
