My sprayhood lets the rain through. I'd like to put off buying a new one for a year or two. I see these re-proofing liquids advertised but do they work?
I reproof my very elderly sprayhood with Fabsil annually and am very pleased with the results. I use a paintbrush and take care to avoid the window-plastic as Fabsil can make it go milky. Not everyone reports good results, however, so it may depend on what material the sprayhood is made from.
+1 for Fabsil
Be reading this thread with interest as it is a job we need to attend to and as quite a few have recommended Fabsil I thought we would try that.
But which Fabsil do you use? There seems to be Gold, UV resistant and Fabsil advanced along with a large variation of price. Also how much do we need to buy to do sprayhood, wheel cover and sail cover?
Thank you ScubadooI use Fabsil Gold, lasts longer and better than the normal Fabsil I used before. But it is more expensive.
