I only talk of boating , you won’t get me banned again , we won and that’s the end now we rebuild boating friends .
What has 'we won and that’s the end' to do with boating?

That seems to me to be an overtly political statement, having no other purpose than to anger people and cause dissent. The sort of thing you get yourself banned for.

You could have left those inflammatory words out of your post.

A weak human is a weak raggie.

@seastoke Roy old chap, would you care to explain what you mean by this?

Are you really so desperate to find people to wind up that you have to now try to wind up raggies?
Whom you have nothing in common with, unless you find one on the Welsh Riviera who has a 'funbox' that can be raided?

You are not going to make friends easily with raggies (not that you want to anyway, because they are raggies) when you make statements like "A weak human is a weak raggie. " :(
Sir I have a lot of friends who are raggies I do not think that is an insult if you are offended , I apologise. I was replying to the man who was looking to wind me up and get me banned but I have moved forward .

My cruising ground ( in respect of foreign shores) is Amsterdam, via standing mast route, to Brest. I particularly love Ostend (for 3 weeks at a time) plus the Channel islands ( usually stay 2 weeks in St PP) . Then go to Boulogne often for 3 day trips

So the 90 day rule had me worried. But I have realised that with care I can just about manage that one.
At first I was worried about the entry departure procedures; but then I recalled when I first used to go, back in 1970. The customs procedures had to be observed & in those days English was not as widely spoken that it is now. But somehow it just seemed normal & no one complained.

I think that the Belgian procedures , as advertised on the net, are a bit easier to understand, so Ostend will be my first port of call in 2022. Presumably, once in the shengan zone I can head east or west without hassle. We shall see.

I suspect that places like Cherbourg may be a bit relaxed. I spoke to crew of a boat that sailed from Dunkirk to Ramsgate & back & they said none of the authorities showed any interest. Could be Ok until they suddenly do show an interest. Then one might be in trouble.
Boulogne may be difficult. More so because the fishermen may be inclined to damage UK registered boats. I also seem to get lots of customs visits in Boulogne. The last visit involved 3 officers aboard for 1 hour 5 mins & that was pre Brexit. They arrived soon after I turned up & i was the only boat they visited. I am hoping that Boulogne will be a designated port of entry & that will make it easy, especially if the customs come straight to me as they often do when I arrive.I will not have to go looking. I may have to Jump Boulogne & go to Dieppe. Depends on the weather. It is an 80 mile slog from Dover against the prevailing winds.

Obviously covid has put a spanner in the works & we have no guarantee that it will be Ok for next year. If things improve I will be off to the Channel Islands like a shot ( via the French coast) & the club are doing a Dutch canal cruise following the paulusfeesten in Ostend in August.

Failing that it is a round UK SH again & that is not such a bad thing. Have done it twice & i am ready for No 3.

So it is what it is & I shall work round it as necessary. In any event I shall still go sailing.

What's changed for me -
Unfortunately I had to bring my boat back from France in June, the plus of that is that she is now 5 mins down the road undergoing something of a refit and whilst working through my list I can even pop home for lunch.
For various reasons I got sidetracked and sadly missed the window of opportunity to get a carte de sejour but despite that we'll be off back to France next spring with the added inconvenience of having to pay 90 euros annually for an extended visa. A pain but one that for us is worth it.
Having spent July to October in Falmouth I look forward to returning to Brittany
