Any idea whether marinas will remain open or boating will be allowed during our now seemingly indefinite period of lockdown?
No . Non essential leisure venues will be closed. We're to be allowed out for recreation.
Staff who can't work at home can come to work.
So marinas should be open and we should be allowed to use them.
As I see it....
a marina is not a "venue", like say ,cinema or any pay to enter establishmentNo . Non essential leisure venues will be closed.
I would see a marina as more of a storage facility.Let’s see what the RYA comes up with, but I suspect that sailing clubs and marinas may close as they are leisure facilities.
What part of stay at home is difficult to understand?
Stay at home is not the only announcement. It is also please go to work, school and university if it can‘t be done online and that outdoor recreational pursuits are encouraged. What part of stay at home is difficult to understand?
you should be fine if you use your boat for work or if it your homeStay at home is not the only announcement. It is also please go to work, school and university if it can‘t be done online and that outdoor recreational pursuits are encouraged.

I have been assured by staff at Malahide Marina just before our Level 5 lockdown commenced, two weeks ago, that they will be at work as usual.
I am just about to go and check on my boat after yesterday's storm.
