I have a triple keel colvic atlanta 31. which has suffered storm damage to one of her bilge keels . The keel needs to be removed to repair the damage. Any body got any idears how they are attatached to the hull.

No experience of Colvics, but most iron keels have massive bolts set in them that pass through the heavily strengthened bilge area of the hull & have double nuts on them visible from inside the boat. Not all may be visible as Colvics are often home completed and interiors will vary considerably.

Thanks still no further ahead, really wanted info on colvics, just needed some info before we pull the boat apart so we had an idea of what we would find.

many thanks i will let you know how i get on.its the repairers problem just trying to find out as much as i can.to try and help them
