Atoll in the Mozambique Channel. Has any Clan or Bank Line Vessel ever run aground on this sometimes submerged Atoll?

How many Bank Line vessels are left ?

There are at least 4 left doing the South Pacific run + of course the RMS St. Helena that they now operate.
They had 55 ships when I joined in 1977 and 12 when they made me redundant at the end of my cadetship in 1981!
I don't remember any history of groundings in the Basses da India, certainly not in motorship times.
