At Lidl next week

PPS: I shall buy one of those multi tool things as well I think because if I understand it correctly that could also be a Godsend.......just hopping the batteries are interchangeable :encouragement:

Aldi had an almost identical multitool offer last week for a tenner less.

You sure it was'nt a mains one? Anyway,I need a battery one for my boat & the batteries on the LIDL one looks like it might be interchangeable with the multi-grinder which is my main priority. Thanks for the tip anyway.:encouragement:

No, it was a 10.8v rechargeable.

I dropped in ALDI to see if they had any on the off chance & sure enough they had some & they are actually 12v which is all to the good but I have to say I don't think they are up to the quality of the Parkside LIDL stuff. The speed dial thing seemed particularly shoddy.

I have watched some video's on Youtube & I'm not really convinced they are up to what I want from them.Does anybody know if they will grind down a rough fibreglass surface? That's what I want one for principally,to smooth the joint between the hull & the deck moulding on my boat.........I can see me buying one of those products that look very nice & indispensable but in practice you never use

When the batteries got knackered on my Aldi drill and grinder set, I stripped the battery pack down, took out the multi batteries and soldered in a length of wire to a cigar lighter plug. Works fine on the boat off the mutiple cigar lighter sockets I have scattered around for charging Tabs etc.

Makes sense. I have a duff 12v Makita battery that's going to get that treatment, when I can get around to it.
