I have an Axiom+ 7 and an RSW wired performance windvane (E70670) at the masthead, with a wired gateway (R70946) at the mast base. There are various other NMEA 2000 items attached. The windvane disappeared from the network in late September, and with that all the wind data was gone from the displays. I took the windvane down off the masthead when I hauled the boat in October. When I disconnected the windvane, all the wire connections were solid and in good shape. All the connections at the gateway are in place. The system was new in May 2025. Picture ..9-22 shows both items on the network, picture ..10-11 shows only the gateway, the "..performance wind" has dropped off the network.

Has anyone else seen the windvane disappear from the network, and how do I fix that?

Where can I get a short (4 to 6') cable to go from the gateway to the windvane, so that I can work on this on the boat without going up the mast?

I'm in the Boston, Massachusetts area, if that matters.

I suspect you have a cable fault in the between the wind transducer and the wired gateway
