Don't know anything about reliability but it must have some as about 30yrs old!
I see it benefits from a sealed cooling system which means it could have been used with an anti/freeze preservative coolant in the main block.
The raw water exhaust manifold/ risers where prone to internal leakage with age due to corrosion. This allowed water into cylinder bores via exhaust valves whilst stationary.
The photo appears to show a neglected engine.
Exhaust manifold and engine blocks where sceptical to frost damage if not drained off.

Thanks for your reply it’s currently in a falcon 23 that’s sat for a few years , hasn’t run ,either was thinking about buying and taking the plunge with it as I haven’t played with this engine before I think it’s aq211a v8
