Found these in a locker a while ago and still haven't worked out what they are for. Any ideas?

A 'self feeder' or 'luff feeder' for the genoa.

You would tie one somewhere behind the base of the forestay... Then feed the genoa luff into it before feeding the luff into the forestay groove.

This would then feed the luff correctly whist you hoist the halyard from the mast (or from the cockpit).

You can get similar for the main to allow self feeding of the bolt rope... but in the case of the mast fitted self feeder they are usually riveted to the mast just a few inches below the feeder slot.

... and it looks like their mainsail feeders just clamp into the mast track at a point somewhere below the luff entry.
